According to Fox 21 News, a driver died in a two-car accident on September 5 in Colorado Springs. The driver who was killed is reported to have been at fault for the accident, which occurred on West Fontanero Street and involved a car traveling westbound crossing over into the eastbound lanes. The police arrived at the scene around 7:30 p.m.

The police reported that one of the drivers had sustained serious injuries and that an ambulance transported the injured driver to a nearby hospital where he later died. It was not report if anyone else involved in the accident was injured. The identity of the driver who died had not yet been released at the time of this report.
After the results of the investigation were in, the police concluded that a vehicle heading westbound on Fontanero crossed the center turn lane and over into the eastbound lanes and, just east of 30th Street, had a head-on collision with a car traveling eastbound. Police will know whether alcohol or a medical condition played a part in causing this fatal car accident after the cause and manner of the driver at fault’s death is determined.
