Ryan Dunn, 34, star of “Jackass” was killed in an automobile accident early on Monday, June 20, 2011. The crash occurred on route 322 in West Goshen, PA when Dunn’s Porche flew over a guardrail and flew through about 40 feet of trees before hitting another tree head-on. The vehicle exploded on impact.
Dunn’s passenger – who remains unidentified – was also killed in the accident.
The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. and a preliminary police investigation revealed that speed may have been a factor.
Dunn, 34, was identified by his tattoos, according to a witness who was on the scene when the bodies were pulled from the wreckage.
Dunn was last seen at a West Chester branch of Barnaby’s of America just hours before his accident. The manager at that location advised that Dunn did not appear drunk before he left.
Another witness told TMZ that Dunn had 3 Miller Lites and 3 “girly shots” over a four-hour period, while at Barnaby’s, between 10:30 p.m. and 2;10 a.m. that night. The witness further stated that Dunn was not too drunk to drive.
In addition to his antics on “Jackass,” Dunn also co-hosted a show called “Proving Ground” on the G4 network.
