Man Killed in Chicago Motorcycle Accident

On Labor Day, a motorcyclist, 36, was struck and killed by a car in Chicago, according to DNAinfo Chicago. The motorcyclist was riding east through Chinatown on West Cermak Road when he was hit by a car near the Archer Avenue intersection. The car was making a left onto Cermak Road from Archer Avenue when the accident occurred.

The accident happened around 11:20 p.m. The motorcyclist was taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment. He was pronounced dead at 11:42 p.m.

“The woman driving the car was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way,” said Officer Michael Sullivan, a Chicago Police Department spokesperson.

Just like that, a whole life snuffed out in an instant and through no fault on the part of the motorcyclist. Nothing can bring this man back to his family and friends. However, those responsible for his loss should be held accountable. He and his loved ones deserve justice.
