Metier Law Firm Presents $10,000 Reward to Denver Heroes

Tom Metier of Metier Law Firm, LLC is proud to present a Law Tigers $10,000 reward this Wednesday to two Denver-area teenagers for their heroic pursuit of a fatal hit-and-run suspect.

In June 2010 Steven Sanchez and his friend Jason Perez, both 19, witnessed a hit-and-run between a drunk driver and two people on a motorcycle. The motorcycle accident left 59-year-old John Brand dead and his fiancée, Debbie Pyatok, injured. When the suspect, 26-year-old Effrain Villegas, drove off, Sanchez and his friend chose to pursue.

“Either you let it go or you do something about it, and what we did, we did something about it,” Sanchez said.

Pyatok, who says she has only vague memories of the accident, decided to nominate the two young men for the Law Tigers Biker Benefit Card award.

“They didn’t turn their back to it. I know a lot of people saw the incident and they were the only two that went after the drivers.”

Law Tigers helps injured motorcyclists across the country. In 2007 Metier Law Firm, LLC brought Law Tigers to Colorado and Wyoming, and is proud to present this reward to these two heroes.
