Pickup Trucks Collide With Electrical Boxes In Colorado Car Accident

Two pickup trucks collided near the Fort Collins, Colorado Budweiser plant on Monday, January 6, according to a report by The Coloradoan. In addition, the pickups collided with two highly volatile electrical boxes near the intersection of Giddings and Richards Lake Roads. Police and emergency crews arrived to the scene of the accident in northeast Fort Collins around 7 p.m. A representative of the Poudre Valley EMS said that two people suffered critical injuries and required immediate transport to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.

After the injured were evacuated, the road was shut down so that police could investigate the cause of the accident in the 10 degree weather. Under the light of road flares, police used accident reconstruction equipment to sift through the mounds of glass and debris that piled up in the southeast corner of the intersection. Of chief interest to the police was determining whether the electrical boxes still posed an electrocution threat.
