Police Search for Witnesses To Drunken Accident

Police are attempting to track down witnesses of a fatal car crash where an alleged drunk driver ran a red light and hit another car, killing its driver.

Surveillance video from a nearby business shows a mid-1990s Volkswagen Jetta following a car driven by suspected drunk driver Viet Quoc Nguyen.

Authorities have charged Nguyen, 25, with two counts of vehicular homicide, hit and run and causing a traffic accident without giving aid. His license had been revoked for a previous alcohol driving offense.

According to authorities, Nguyen was behind the wheel of a Porsche Cayenne that ran a red light in Westminster, Colorado, crashing into the car of Jenna Breen, 21. Breen had been returning home from work as a server at the Fox and Hound in Westminster. She died in the accident.

The surveillance video shows Nguyen and a passenger fleeing the scene of the auto accident. It also shows a vehicle following them. Police believe the occupants of the second car may know information that could help the investigation.

“They’re not in any trouble; we would just like to know what they saw,’ said Cheri Spottke, Westminster police spokeswoman.

Police ask the witnesses or anyone who knows them to call 303-658-4241.
