Singer Sean Kingston, who was seriously injured in a jet ski accident is now breathing on his own and walked for the first time on Monday, June 6, 2011.
Kingston, the 21-year-old native of Jamaica, was riding his jet ski with Cassandra Sanchez, 23, on May 29 in Miami, Fl, when he collided with the Pam Island bridge. The Palm Island bridge is a low bridge and Sanchez reported that she screamed for Kingston to stop moments before they hit.
Both Kingston and Sanchez were injured in the collision with Kingston sustaining a broken jaw, a fractured wrist and other injuries. Kingston also inhaled water and could have drowned were it not for Jonathan Rivera, an off-duty Coast Guardsman who was on the scene. The was no indication that alcohol was involved according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.
The singer was in critical condition on May 31, but his condition has since been upgraded to serious. Although he is breathing on his own and walking, Kingston remains at the hospital in Miami.
